frequently asked questions about my coaching
Q: is life and business coaching the same as therapy?
A: No, life and business coaching is not the same as therapy. While both involve personal growth and addressing challenges, they are quite different.
Business coaching is typically action-oriented and goal-driven, and focuses on business strategy, professional growth, mindset shifts, leadership, and behavioral habits and patterns that interfere with business success or action, such as imposter syndrome and procrastination.
Q: who can benefit from coaching?
A: Entrepreneurs, executives, business owners, professionals, people seeking growth or major work/life changes, looking to reinvent themselves or their lives, or wanting to learn business strategy, navigate obstacles, gain tools for dealing with challenges that hamper success or action, acquire improved decision making, leadership skills, self-confidence, and resilience, can benefit from coaching.
Q: do you offer one time sessions or coaching packages?
A: I offer 6 week + 12 week coaching packages. To maximize success, coaching requires client commitment. Doing the unthinkable is rarely a one and done session.
Q: what type of results can I expect.
A: Results vary depending on the individual and identified goals. Life, career, and business transformations rarely happens overnight—and results takes time to cultivate. Results also vary depending on how the client defines and measures success.
Expect guidance on goal and vision clarification, goal setting, strategic planning, problem-solving, mindset shifts, accountability, and business growth. My clients discover that coaching has a strong return on investment.
Q: how do I know if you’re the right coach for me?
A: Choosing a coach is like finding the right doctor, therapist, or hair stylist. You need to find someone who “gets” you—who truly understands you. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're the right fit.
Q: do i need to choose a coach who has specific experience in my industry or place in life?
A: Maybe, but maybe not. A coach who understands your industry or life stage could be helpful, but it’s not always necessary when it comes to brand strategy, problem-solving, and overcoming challenges like imposter syndrome, fear of failure, or procrastination. I have experience working with clients across a wide range of life places, stages, careers, and industries.
Q: how often will we meet for coaching sessions.
A: Coaching sessions are scheduled based on my clients’ needs and availability. Most clients choose weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Some clients choose to check in quarterly or every six months as part of a business and leadership fit check, particularly as they gain momentum with their original goals.
